Harpers Haven is a family run Air Bnb in Blind Bay on Shuswap lake where the Harper family has deep roots. As owner, LeeAnn Harper is the granddaughter of Barbara Whitehead, daughter of John Whitehead who immigrated from Germany and was the first settler of Eagle Bay in the late 1800’s. The Whiteheads worked tirelessly clearing and homesteading the land creating a home and later a beautiful vacation destination for family and friends.
Harpers Haven received its name in tribute to White Haven in Eagle Bay where the family enjoyed the Shuswap every summer. LeeAnn fell in love with the house and property in Blind Bay in 2020 and purchased it with the idea that she could recreate the family vacation experience for other families just like the Whiteheads did for her as a child.
Since acquiring this property she did may upgrades including a complete overhaul of the interior, new kitchen, appliances, bathroom fixtures and flooring. The dock and buoy was replaced 1 year later and in the spring of 2024 she remodelled the outside of the property with a new roof, exterior siding, composite deck, railings, exterior doors, fence and beautiful stamped concrete patio.
